Sidekicks
(1986-87)
Jake is a cop who is chosen
to become the adoptive father to Ernie, by Ernie's dying grandfather
Sabasan. At first Jake is reluctant to give up his bachelor life
for fatherly duties but he eventually gives in. Ernie and his grandfather
come from the obscure country of Patasan, the home of the mystical
martial artists 'The Electric Knights'. Ernie is the last of those
knights and has inherited martial arts skills and also mystical
abilities.
The series aired Friday and Saturday nights from September 1986
till June 1987.
